It has made an indelible mark in the domains of Engineering, Management & Pharmacy through the consistent efforts of more than 300 highly qualified & experienced faculty imparting erudition to both UG & PG Courses. 

Apart from being accorded the NAAC – Grade A accreditation till 2021, most of its programs are NBA accredited.

The beyond curriculum initiatives of KIET include –

• The Centre for Automotive Mechatronics, in collaboration with Mercedes Benz India Pvt. Ltd.; and the SKILL NEXT Programme in consultation with BMW India. 
• The Society of Automotive Engineers SAE- KIET Collegiate Club has been participating in BAJA SAE INDIA, SAE NIS EFFI-CYCLE, and SUPRA SAE, in SAE India Competitions on a regular basis and has won many accolades regularly for which, it has been awarded by its President. Global recognition came its way in 2019 when it won the Neil Armstrong Best Design Award in the global competition of NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge organized at Alabama, USA.
• The iOS and D-Link Labs, and The Robotics and NI Labs gives students an opportunity to work on projects & enhance their practical abilities.
• KODERS KORNER is available to students on a 24*7 basis to create a culture of competitive coding in the campus. 
• Param Shavak, a Supercomputing Deep learning System, has been set up on campus to facilitate students in the domain of Machine learning. 
• The Department of Humanities & Social Science merges the expertise of English trainers with Life Skills trainers to enhance the employability quotient of the students across all streams by delivering a well drafted 100-hour programme over a period of 4 years. 
• The Career Guidance Centre of KIET provides educational internships both Nationally as well as Internationally in countries like, Germany, Indonesia, etc., and also provides support to students by organizing GATE/GRE coaching and foreign language classes like, German & Japanese to the interested students.

KIET has established a strong Industry Connect through its Corporate Relations & Placement Centre and its subsidiary the Internship & Industry Partnership Cell enables internships and subsequent recruitment of students in more than 300 on- & off-campus recruitment drives leading to 1000+ job offers five years in a row. 

To showcase the creativity of students, KIET has established an Institution Innovation Council as per the norms of the Innovation Cell-Ministry of HRD-GOI, and an in-house Innovation Centre that has more than 20 technical and entrepreneurial purely student driven clubs in the areas of 3D printing, Blockchain, Python, Internet Of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, etc. 

Giving wings to entrepreneurship, the KIET Technology Business Incubator setup under the aegis of the Department of Science & Technology – MHRD – GOI, and also collaborates with the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, the Small Industries Development Bank of India  to promote start-ups by disbursing government grants worth Rs. 27 crores. 

TBI-KIET has accelerated 92-start-ups keeping in line with the New India program of the GOI. KIET’s Kalam Centre has earned the overall first rank at the Kalam Entrepreneurship league-AKTU. 

KIET hosted the Smart India Hackathon (Hardware edition) organized by MHRD, GOI in Jul’19 and hosted the INNOMPICS World Games in November 19.

KIET focuses on developing global citizens by honing their skills for future with a special emphasis on holistic development of students, imbibing professional ethics & values by organizing numerous inter and intra institute events like Prastuti, Epoque, Innotech, Endeavour, Rann and others.
