Digital Innovation Imperatives in Education
Learning is creation not consumption so, to realize the full potential of technology in order to meet educational goals, an international surveys have found that digital technologies have not been fully integrated in education so to meet out the challenges from shifting traditional learning to digital learning it requires good IT infrastructure, good internet bandwidth, technology integration (LMS, MS Teams etc.), virtual classroom, virtual labs, digital access of learning material, and these digital tools became one of the resources that is helping to deliver a high quality of education. To raise the standards of teaching learning methods, it requires an International well-developed plan for smooth functioning of various transformation in the learning pattern.
In today’s globalization era, digital
technologies have a profound impact on economies and societies and are changing
the way we work, communicate, engage in social activities and enjoy ourselves.
They also drive innovation in many different spheres of life. The innovative
capacity of technology is very much conditioned by the level of digital skills
of the population. There is a strong correlation between education and skills
and use of digital technologies in various platforms in promoting innovation is
critical. Digital learning is learning felicitated by technology that gives flexibility in learning and it encompasses the application of a wide spectrum
of practices, including blended and virtual mode etc.
So,
to understand that digital learning requires openness and interactions between
systems and their working environments by encouraging discussion forums,
international collaboration and open educational resources etc. It considers
what skills are needed to encourage innovation more widely in the economy and
whether schools, institutions and universities are helping students develop
those skills.
Ultimately
the task of learner and facilitator should
not to cut down jungles but to irrigate deserts. This is only possible
with the help of thinking digital rather than being digital.
